Luang Phor Koon

Luang Phor Koon was born on 4th October BE 2466. As a matter of fact, he was raised in a well off family as his grandfather was an influential person and had gained respect from many people and is well-known in Nakhon Ratchasima Province. On top of that, his grandfather also was known to have possessed knowledge about Wicha (magic power) and did study Thai and Pali Language under Ajarn Cheum, Ajarn Saai and Phra Ajarn Lee at a temple near his house.

When Luang Phor Koon was at the age of 20, his relative and his auntie contributed a sum of money to send him to Wat Thanon located in Hat Yai. The following year, he was ordained at  Wat Thanon on 5 May BE 2487. Phra Kru Wijahn Dtigit was the preceptor. Phra Kru Ajarn Torng Suk was his Dhamma teacher. His monk's name is Pisuttoh.

Luang Phor Koon stayed in Wat Thanon to study dhamma. In addition Luang Phor Koon also learned under Luang Phor Daeng Wat Nong Pho. He learned Dhamma, Sammadhi and Wichah (magic) from Luang Phor Daeng. Luang Phor Koon was very diligent when he studied under Luang Phor Daeng. After seeing that Luang Phor Koon was so keen on learning, Luang Phor Daeng brought Luang Phor Koon to meet Luang Phor Kong who was the abbot of Wat HatYai. Then, Luang Phor Koon became the disciple of Luang Phor Kong.

Luang Phor Kong was a Phra Tudong (forest monk) and brought Luang Phor Koon to Tudong (forest dwelling). Besides Dhamma and Sammadhi, Luang Phor Kong also taught Luang Phor Koon Wicha (magic) on inserting Takrut into a person's arm.

After learning from Luang Phor Kong for some time, Luang Phor Koon went for Tudong alone. He went as far as Laos and Cambodia, staying in the deep forests for several years. During the rainy season, if Luang Phor Koon was near town, he would stay in one of the temples near town to Khow Pansah (rainy season for a monk to stay indoors). If he was still in the forest, he would stay in the forest and continue his Tudong.

Luang Phor Koon returned to Thailand after more than 10 years of Tudong and resided at Wat Ban Rai. When Luang Phor Koon first arrived at Wat Ban Rai, the temple was in bad condition. There was only an old shelter, hall and Guti (place where Buddha statue is placed).

After seeing the temple's condition, Luang Phor Koon was determined to re-build it. He approached the abbot of the temple at that time, and asked him for his help. The abbot told him that the temple did not have much funds and asked Luang Phor Koon how much money he needed to rebuild the temple. Luang Phor Koon replied that he needed 3 to 4 million bahts. When the abbot heard that, he said that he had no ability to help, though it was his duty. Luang Phor Koon then asked the villagers and his lay disciples to source for funds. Many people came forward and helped. The total funds collected was almost 2 million bahts and Wat Ban Rai was rebuilt.

Luang Phor Koon was gradually gaining popularity in Nakhon Ratchasima. Whenever people would hear that Luang Phor Koon wanted to build a temple or a school, many people would come forward to help. Luang Phor Koon built many schools, temples and hospitals in Nakhon Ratchasima.

Devotees who go to Wat Ban Rai regardless whether rich or poor, Luang Phor Koon will meet them personally and bless them. He would specially make time for the poorer devotees, because to Luang Phor Koon, the poorer devotees need to earn a living, and thus their time is more precious compared to the richer ones who already have a stable livelihood.

As Luang Phor Koon consecrated many amulets in Thailand. Many temples and people would consecrate amulets and ask him to bless them. In fact, Luang Phor Koon seldom rejected anyone who came to him for blessings. In addition, Luang Phor Koon is very good in the Wicha of takrut insertion. He would personally insert takruts under the arms of devotees. These takruts are very well proven to protect people from accidents, improve Metta and Konggrapan.

 Stories of devotees wearing Luang Phor Koon’s sacred item 

1. In BE 2536, in Thailand that was a Doll factory which is 4 storeys high caught fire at its level 1. The security of the building locked the main entrance to prevent the staff from stealing anything from the factory but they never expected that the fire was uncontrollable and during that time they failed to find the manager on duty to unlock the main door. At that time, that was plenty of  flammable material and caused the fire to expand rapidly from level 1 to level 2, the workers who were working in level 2 were panicking as there was no other escape from anywhere except the main door. The only way is to shout for help, even the fire fighter was not in time to help. Within a while, the fire expanded to level 3. The only way that the workers can survive was to jump from the window but the outcome is either you fall to death or you would be crippled.  

At that moment, that was a female worker named Pai la time, just like others she is also feeling panic. Just as she was trying to decide what to do, she suddenly remembered that her father gave her an amulet, so she decided to grab the amulet with her hand and she doesn't even know which Luang Phor was it. She just prays hard to the amulet “Please Bless Me" from level 3 and she jumped down. After that, she passed out and found herself in hospital, people started to surround her and asked her" why were you standing on the ground and standing still after you jumped from level 3"? After that, she quickly checked if she is crippled and found herself in perfect condition, immediately she opened her hand and looked at the amulet. It was a copper rain from Luang Phor Koon. After this incident, everyone started to believe in Luang Phor Koon. 

1. 3 months after the factory incident, in the city of Korat, there is a hotel named Loyang Hotel. They were hosting a gathering for around 200 teachers. At around 9 pm, suddenly the whole level 5 of the hotel collapsed. The reason is because of the pool of water they build on top level. When everyone is trying to find survivors for this unfortunate incident, everyone died except 1 female cleaner and she is wearing Luang Phor Koon amulet.
2. In Thailand, Muaythai is always a popular sport. In 1996, a thai boxer called Somluck Kamsing. Since young,he has been practising Muaythai. Out of a sudden, he changed to boxing for the Olympics. Due to high stress levels, he started having insomnia and some mental nervous issues. Before any competition, it's normal for athletes  to find Luang Phor Koon for blessings. So Somluck Kamsing just follows along with a doubted mind. After everyone was blessed, during Somluck Kamsing's turn, Luang Phor Koon just chanted a mantra and told him:" When you are on the ring, just think of me and chant the mantra". After the blessing, Somluck Kamsing went home and take a rest to prepare for the competition and he no longer feel stress and started to believe the power of Luang Phor Koon 

A week later, when Somluck Kamsing reached America, when the arrangement for the Olympic game arrangement was out, he saw all the boxers for the match, every one of them was at least twice of his size and his height. First thing on his mind, “Well, that's it". The only thing he can do is pray, if he can get a bronze medal it's good enough. Just before every match he starts, he will always chant the mantra and think of Luang Phor Koon, whenever he is punching the opponent, he will chant the mantra given by Luang Phor Koon and he feels a powerful energy in his arm. When he entered the final, everyone in Thailand was shocked as no one in Thailand ever made it into the final in the Olympic Games before as no one has ever won a gold medal in the Olympics from Thailand in history.

無論你走到泰國哪個角落, 隨便問一個人說認識誰是 Luang Phor Koon 嗎?他們會說那位喜歡蹲著的和尚就是了. 大師一生捐出來的金錢不少過三十億泰銖, 都用在公益上, 如建醫院, 警察局, 大學, 廟宇等等. 大師地位高崇，就連泰國國王見到他也會下跪，求他撲一下頭.  在泰國是個傳奇, Luang Phor Koon 於佛歷 BE 2466年10月4日，Luang Phor Koon 出生於呵叻府一個名教班萊的小村莊， 父親名教乃汶 ，母親名通考， Luang Phor Koon 為大兒子，下有兩位妹妹. 於十一歲母親逝世後, Luang Phor Koon 便給阿姨接了去撫養，沒多久父親另娶後把Luang Phor Koon 送去 Wat Ban Rai 學習佛理. 白天幫父親耕田及喂牛只吃草衝涼等， 夜晚就回廟去讀佛書，等空就打掃及整理佛舍等.

到20歲， 阿姨親戚們集合了些錢， 助 Luang Phor Koon 於佛歷 BE 2487年5月5日在樾時特潤合艾舉行剃度儀式歸依佛門，戒師為柏古威曾. 當年守夏節就去樾濃菩跟禪定及學佛理等 三年後， 因Luang Phor Koon天資過人，已把Luang Phor Daeng 的法藝全學完了，Luang Phor Daeng 繼而向Luang Phor Koon 說: “你現在的基本禪定功及梵文基礎都穩定了， 必要再找名師學習更高的法術. ”然後， 便介紹 Luang Phor Koom 給當時法術很高強的高僧— Luang Phor Kong.  Luang Phor Kong 一見 Luang Phor Koon 來拜師，就說此弟可教也，以後前途無量， 所以決定收為首徒.

Luang Phor Koon 認真修行跟了Luang Phor Kong，學習苦行. Luang Phor Koon跟 Luang Phor Kong 修習苦行法及各種奇門法術等， 時常穿山越嶺的在山嶺修習法術，不知不覺又三年了， Luang Phor Koon 的功力也更上一層樓. 至法術學成時， Luang Phor Koon 拜別 Luang Phor Kong，決意自己到處去雲游傳法行善，每到一處都深深受到當地村民的尊敬. Luang Phor Koon 在泰國東北部的山林修苦西哇裡法戒時， 在深山也育到多位禪宗名師的指點與傳法，使 Luang Phor Koon 的禪定與法術更一日行千裡. 

一路走向柬埔賽，途中還降伏了向他下降頭的巫師，用口水和草藥救了很多村的病人，也用樹枝敲好了很多中邪的人. 之後的事更讓他名聲傳遍了全泰國. 在將離開泰國的一晚，獨自坐在空曠的大地專注的打坐. 結果很多時影時現的鬼魂一直徘徊. 這時Luang Phor Koon 就叫他們現身，原來他們是那片土地幾百年前王朝的國王和眷屬. 他們是准備出來供養聖僧的，Luang Phor Koon問他們為什麼不去轉世，他們回答因為要守護這片屬於他們土地的財產. 後來Luang Phor Koon 開示佛法和念經回向超度了他們. 並隔天找了當地政府囑咐他們挖掘並好好處理這片土地下的寶藏. 如果沒有神通怎麼可能清楚知道整片土地下的寶藏. 這件事驚動了泰國國王和僧皇. 他們心裡當時就清楚Luang Phor Koon 雖然年輕可是已經有了很高修行才有的神通了. 可是Luang Phor Koon 並沒有因此停留享受名氣而是繼續苦行至柬埔賽. 後來他的修行圓滿了. 

修行圓滿後的他想念起了祖母，並且開始走回 Korat. 整條村見到他都開心的無法言語. 他的祖母則對他說你看你出家的寺廟那麼破爛，你應該幫忙不然以後這裡的人哪裡有地方繼續出家修行呢？他便許下大願如果他有錢他絕對不會自己收一分錢他將會建水壩，建醫院，建學校，建道路。幫助一切貧苦和有需要幫助的人. 

可是當時的寺廟只有1w泰銖，怎樣建呢？Luang Phor Koon 則說不要擔心，不久之後就會有人送錢來的. 寺廟開始自己增建，由於以前沒安全設備，一跌下來可能都會重傷，當時那裡又沒有醫院. 所以 Luang Phor Koon 就寫了布符給他們，可是後來真的有人跌了沒事. 所以後來Luang Phor Koon 就開始把這符做成了金針符管，親自打入體內.  可是這些人後來都跑到曼谷打槍，所以泰國最大宗的的打槍犯人都是Korat的人干的，當時的開槍也打不到. Ajarn Khun Pan 就問了一些高僧後來用了他們教的方法等他們喝醉抓住了他們，結果一查，發現原來 Korat出了一個聖僧用金針幫助了他們子彈也射不進身體. 這件事讓Luang Phor Koon 的金針聲名大噪. 最後驚動泰皇親自祈求Luang Phor Koon 不要隨便把這打金針法門外傳. 當然當時有人質問為什麼Luang Phor Koon幫助了壞人. Luang Phor Koon 說佛牌如果給了這些壞人戴了他們見證到了佛牌的威力就會尊敬佛祖，就會相信因果慢慢會改做好人的. 

後來經歷有人拿槍對著Luang Phor Koon 既然都開不了槍. 車衣女工三樓火場跳下沒事. 老師被學生開槍掃射沒事. 泰國商人墜機沒事. 小孩和祖母整輛車衝下湖遇見大鱷魚Luang Phor Koon 念經了鱷魚居然不動. 泰國第一面奧林匹克金牌. 等

他60多年的所有的錢都用來建了醫院，災區，小學，中學，大學。道路。以前 Korat是沒水源沒河的. Luang Phor Koon 出錢開水壩. 造福了所有的人.

可惜, Luang Phor Koon 於 BE 2558年5月16號中午圓寂.
