Phor Than Daeng was born on 3rd August BE 2449 in Takbai, Narathiwat. When Phor Than Daeng was in his teenage days, there was no boundary separation in the Southern part of Thailand. As a result of being a young guy, he would travel towards the southernmost area to visit the temples down there. One of the many temples that he visited was Wat Bangsek (Wat Uttamaram). Quickly Phor Than Daeng also became one of Tok Raja’s disciples.

It is believed that Phor Than Daeng is good in Metta Maha Niyom, KlaewKlad (escape from harm), KongKrapan (self-defense against sharp objects) and Maha Utt (impenetrable by gunshot). In addition, he was also a close friend of Phor Than Daeng Wat Pikulthong (Tumpat, Kelantan).

Phor Than Daeng passed away on 13th December BE 2532 at the age of 83. The posture that Phor Than Daeng passed on was in a sitting meditation posture. Nowadays, visitors of the temple can go to Wat Thong Dee to pay their respect to Phor Than Daeng. With the deepest respect to Phor Than Daeng for achieving Parinibbana by his early Dharma learning under the guidance of Tok Raja.
