As a matter of fact, Luang Phor Pu was one of the disciples of Somdej Toh. While the other disciple of Somdej Toh would be Somdej Pilan who later on was appointed as the abbot of Wat Rakang. While Luang Phor Pu became the abbot of Wat Inn. While Luang Phor Pu was under the guidance of Somdej Toh, he learned about meditation and incantation. And on some occasions, he would go to Tudong to various places with Somdej Toh.
The following would be a short story regarding Luang Phor Pu. Many years ago, within a village there were many eye witnesses who happened to be the villagers witnessing Luang Phor Pu going into a pond to take a bath due to the hot weather. The villagers shouted to Luang Phor Pu for a warning as there was a crocodile in the pond. It is known that the crocodile that is approaching had killed many villagers before. Even though Luang Phor Pu heard the shouting, he ignored it. Soon the crocodile came and instead of hurting him, it used its jaw to rub against Luang Phor Pu three times on each side and swam away peacefully while Luang Phor Pu was chanting. After the villagers had witnessed what had happened they were shocked and from then on they would approach Luang Phor Pu whenever they encountered problems. From there onwards, devotees believed that Luang Phor Pu is strong in psychic power and charisma.
It is known that Luang Phor Pu consecrated his amulets that contained a mixture of 5 different types of powder that was obtained from Somdej Toh. As his amulet contains a huge amount of Somdej Toh’s powder, its features looks very much alike to Somdej Toh.
However, Luang Phor Pu passed on in BE 2476 at the age of 104 years old having spent 84 years of his life in monkhood dedicating to Buddhism.
