Luang Phor Khao

Luang Phor Khao Analayo is the senior disciple of Ajarn Mun Bhuridatta. Ajarn Mun is well-known meditation monks or people would know him as the Thai Forest Tradition or "Kammaṭṭhāna tradition" monk. Before Luang Phor Khao ordained as a monk, his name was Khao Karatha. Luang Phor Khao was born on 28th December BE 2431 at the village of Ban Bo Cha Nang Nong Kaea Sub District, Amnat Charoen District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. His father was known as Mr Puo and his mother was known as Mrs Rod. Both of his parents were farmers. When he was young, Luang Phor Khao received his education at Wat Bo Cha Nang which was located in his hometown. Later on in his life, he got married with his wife and had seven children.
Something happened to Luang Phor Khao in BE 2462, as he had some matrimonial problems. This led Luang Phor Khao to be ordained as a monk at Wat Bo Cha Nang.
In BE 2476, Luang Phor Khao found that there was a famous and skillful meditation monk who was Ajarn Mun. Upon knowing this, Luang Phor Khao headed to the north to found Ajarn Mun. And spent many years learning from Ajarn Mun until he could master the art of meditation from Ajarn Mun.
By BE 2488, 12 years later Luang Phor Khao returned back to his hometown and stayed at Wat Po Cha Nang.
In BE 2501, Luang Phor Khao went to Wat Tam Klong Phane and stayed there until he passed away at the age of 95 on 16th May BE 2526. Many believed that Luang Phor Khao had reached the stage of "Arahantship" (Full Enlightenment).
Luang Phor Khao于佛历 BE 2431年生于泰国东北部地区的乌汶府的一个小乡村里，从小品行端正、善结交朋友、热心对人.
20岁的时候由父母做主婚姻大事，娶了一位女子为妻，后生了七个子女. 只是好景不长，在一次外出务工后，他回村时看到自己的妻子对己不忠，一怒之下想要举刀将其妻砍杀，好在关键时刻恢复理性，饶恕了妻子，并决定成全她，而自己则选择出家为僧，希望可以通过佛门找到消除痛苦的方法. 于是，在佛历 BE 2462年 Luang Phor Khao 31岁的时候，正式受戒成为僧侣.
起初的6年修行 Luang Phor Khao 都是在寺庙进行的，后来他开始苦行拜师，寻找当时已负盛名的Ajarn Mun ，不过Ajarn Mun 当时也是处于四处修行的状态，所以Luang Phor Khao找了很多次都失之交臂，听说Ajarn Mun 到了一个地方，自己过去的时候人也已经失去踪影了. 好在这些苦行也不是没有收获, Luang Phor Khao 还是可以在途中拜访不同的高僧大德的. 多年后，Luang Phor Khao 又听说Ajarn Mun 在泰北的清迈地区，所以为了见师傅一面，Luang Phor Khao 又开始出发寻找，途中遇到了之后的好友Ajarn Van Sucinno，与之结伴而行后，终于找到了 Ajarn Mun. 两人双双拜Ajarn Mun 为师，进行禅修与法术的学习.
禅定的修行是非常考验僧人心境的，当时Ajarn Mun 是在森林里面锻炼禅定，到了禅坐一段时间后就会换一个地方，因为他认为一旦在一个地方熟悉了环境就是让自己的警觉性降低，心境也会不稳定. Luang Phor Khao 在清迈地区修炼多年后，终于达到了自己期望的一种境界，后又在佛历 BE 2479年回到了泰国的东北部继续修行，直到佛历 BE 2501年才于Wat Tam Klong Phane 定居下来，直至佛历 BE 2526年圆寂. 期间在佛历 BE 2518年的时候，泰国正值内乱，武装组织动乱严重，当时泰皇还亲自前往Luang Phor Khao 的寺庙拜见他询问国家现在面临的最大问题是什么. 可见 Luang Phor Khao 也一个圣僧.
