Luang Phor Choo

Luang Phor Choo Wat Nak Prok is one of the many guru monks in Thailand. He was also a friend of Luang Phor Eiam Wat Nang.

Luang Phor Choo was born in BE 2401 in Nakhon Srithammaraj Province. In fact, his parents moved from Nakhon Srithammaraj to Bangkok when he was a child. In BE 2412, at the age of 11, Luang Phor Choo was ordained as a novice at Wat Thongnopphakhun. Wat Thongnopphakhun was a well-known temple for studying meditation. In fact, Luang Phor Choo spent a long time at Wat Thongnopphakhun to study meditation and magic. Afterwards, Luang Phor Choo even went to Wat Rakhang to seek more knowledge about meditation and magic. However, Luang Choo soon disrobed as he wanted to study magic from others and it would be easier for him to learn magic if he was a layman. 

Then Luang Phor Choo went to study magic from Luang Phor Plub Wat Cheetahen who was a relatively well-known monk at that time. After a while, Luang Phor Choo ordained as a monk again at Wat Nangchee as he wanted to get peace and studied about Dharma. However Luang Phor Choo passed away on BE 2477 at the age of 76.

There are also stories about Luang Phor Choo. Such as Luang Phor Choo was able to tell the lottery number that made him well-known around Bangkok and the nearby Provinces but due to this reason it causes him trouble as this act of behavior was wrong with the code of monastic disciplines. Therefore, Somdej Phra Sangkharaj in that time sent "CK Wat Anong or Luang Phor Nuam" to judge the case. Luang Phor Nuam went to Wat Nak Prok and told Luang Phor Choo about the indictment. Luang Phor Nuam would like to test whether Luang Phor Choo could tell the number for the lottery by writing the numbers on the paper and keeping it in an envelope. Then Luang Phor Nuam asked Luang Phor Choo what number he wrote. If Luang Phor Choo answered right, Luang Phor Choo will be relieved from being an offender. Luang Phor Choo answered the question and was later approved that it was the exact same number. Therefore, Luang Phor Choo is relieved from being an offender. Moreover, when people near Wat Nak Prok went to Wat Nang to visit Luang Phor Eiam and request amulets from him. Luang Phor Eiam would reply by saying that “you should go to visit and request some amulets from Luang Phor Choo Wat Nak Prok.”  Moreover, when people go to visit Luang Phor Choo and ask for amulets, Luang Phor Choo would also say the same thing like what Luang Phor Eiam told his devotees that “you should go and visit Luang Phor Eiam Wat Nang too.”
