Luang Phor Mee

Luang Phor Mee

by Jun Wei

Luang Por Mee was born in BE 2455 in Ayutthaya province. He was a disciple of two great guru monks of Thailand - Luang Phor Chong Wat NaTangNok and Luang Phor Parn Wat Bang Nom Kho who both are close friends. Luang Phor Mee's amulets are known for 'Metta Maha Niyom' and ‘Kong Grapan’.

In fact only a few disciples of Luang Phor Parn were successful in learning and receiving all that knowledge from him. As a matter of fact, Luang Phor Mee did assist Luang Phor Parn in the making of his most well-known batch of Phra Somdej Kee series for 3 years and was subsequently imparted the magical knowledge from Luang Phor Parn himself.

In order to learn well from Luang Phor Parn, One would need to start from learning general things such as teaching Dharma to the local people and using herbs to cure diseased people. Those steps might be boresome that many had decided to fade away. As it seems to be too difficult and impossible for them to learn all the magic from Luang Phor Parn.

However for Luang Phor Mee, nothing was impossible for him. He was willing to devote even his life for Luang Phor Parn which he has the thinking of why must he be afraid of learning things from the basic.

With such a focused mind, he was able to walk ahead and went through all difficulties, until he had reached an important step that led him to the magic of Luang Phor Parn.

The step was to learn the magical magic called “Asupa-gamadhan”. This magic is not only difficult to learn but very much mentally tough to lots of people, that made many leave the scene unsuccessfully.

Asupa means corpse, and gamadhan means high-level concentration practicing, therefore the learners have to spend months or years staying with the dead to consider the 5 Khuntha which are:

  1. Rupa, or surroundings that can be seen with human eyes.
  2. Vetana, or receiving sadness and happiness including with no feeling (which’s called U-beka).
  3. San-ya, or memory and recognition.
  4. Sang-kara, or emotions which are divided into two types, one is good and merciful emotion, another is bad and wicked emotion.
  5. Vin-yana, or feelings such as feel cold, feel hot, feel hungry, feel thirsty, etc..

The purpose of practicing this science is to help realize the truth of human beings that is the main step to enlighten the future.

Apart from practicing all those mentioned above, Luang Phor Mee also learned many of Luang Phor Parn’s magical spells. Those spells are known for creating magical things including amulets.

After he accomplished all the learning, Luang Phor Mee had traveled to many places and eventually settled at Wat Munwichai, Ayutthaya province.

That is the reason behind why Luang Phor Mee was praised as one of the most distinguished disciples of Luang Phor Parn.

Other than learning from gurus monks like Luang Phor Parn and Luang Phor Chong. Luang Phor Mee actually also learnt from other guru monks such as Luang Phor Opasi, Luang Phor Chaem Wat Takong and Luang Phor Kob Wat Tamkao.

Luang Phor Mee applied his knowledge from Luang Phor Parn and Luang Phor Chong to consecrate amulets to help more people. There are many reports of positive experiences by wearing Luang Phor Mee’s amulet.

However, Luang Phor Mee passed away on 26th January BE 2543 at the age of 89. It is also believed that Luang Phor Mee has attained the level of Arahant. As his body is not decayed with his hair and nails continuing to grow.

In fact, there is one story between both Luang Phor Pern and Luang Phor Mee. As Luang Phor Pern actually directed one of his disciples to Luang Phor Mee. As one of the Ajarn learning magic from Luang Phor Pern was assisting a villager who was under the influence of a black magic spell. Due to the  consequence of his lack of experience and power the effects of that black magic were passed to the Ajarn.

Luang Phor Pern tried to extract the black magic himself  but could not exorcise the demonic forces and had to seek guidance from Luang Phor Mee Wat MunWiChai.

Luang Phor Mee performed sacred rituals to remove the black magic. During the process, the Ajarn felt great discomfort and passed nails during a visit to the bathroom. He immediately knew that the effects of the spell had been lifted.

It was apparent that Luang Phor Mee possessed the requisite high levels of wisdom and dharma, and that day's events became widespread news.
